It feels like fireflies fluttering around in my tummy,
When I catch your eyes and you look into mine.
It feels like golden sun rays beaming down on my skin,
When we hold each other close in an embrace.
It feels like amber leaves swirling in a cool autumn breeze,
When you run your fingers through my hair.
It feels like electricity shooting rapidly through my veins,
When your rough, callused hands caress my face.
It feels like a kaleidoscope of butterflies circling my head,
When my words crease your lips into a smile.
It feels like the relief of warm gloves on near frost bitten hands,
When my fingers sit nestled between yours.
It feels like my tortured soul begins dancing wildly in the sun,
When you are laughing with our daughter.
It feels like my heart is whole,
Whenever we are all together.
If feels like peace,
Whenever you are with me.
